Gilbert Rios is a former sheriff's deputy and Marine Corps veteran who dedicated his life to county and community and now serves first responders. As the host of the Fit for Duty podcast and author of Breaking the Blue Wall, he brings a unique perspective on fitness & confronts the stigma of mental health.

During his time in the Marines, Gilbert held two Military Occupation Specialties: Communications and Marksmanship Coach. He graduated as the honor graduate from MOS school in 29 Palms. Gilbert achieved multiple expert rifle and pistol qualifications and received the battalion iron man award for physical fitness. Additionally, he served two tours in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.

In his law enforcement career, Gilbert distinguished himself as the top shooter in the academy. He held several roles, including Recruit Training Officer, SWAT Operator, Detective, and Task Force Investigator with a three-letter agency. His actions in 2018 earned him a Silver Star
